Gail had a long career in the public sector, where she was well known for her coaching, mentoring and help with career planning. Her combination of deep caring, outstanding observation skills and ability to articulate a tough direct message, helped many staff members in the Hamilton Board of Education meet their career aspirations. Gail has done extensive training in process consultation, organization development and conflict resolution. Most recently, she received her coaching certification (Certified Co-active Professional Coach) from the Coach’s Training Institute and holds Professional Certified Coach designation from the International Coach Federation. Co-active coaching is a process where the answers are found within the client and the coach’s role is to walk with the client, providing both support and accountability. Gail’s coaching is inspiring, empowering, built on authenticity, and presence, and uses highly skilled listening and questioning as its primary processes. For the past four years in her part-time coaching practice, Gail has coached nearly 20 men and women into new roles, towards second careers, and through the transition to retirement.
